Backer Survey and Production update

Hey everyone! Popping in for a post Thanksgiving update. Ari was super excited and has not stopped talking about making mashed potato T-Rexes and eating Triple Salmon Delight (I don't know what that is, and honestly, I am a little scared to find out), but I digress. Let's jump right in!
My oh my! ALL the art!
In true Snowbright style, we have gone all in on the art. We have added some vibrantly colored comic book pages in addition to the tables and charts you would expect in an RPG. The comics really capture the totally tubular vibe of Time Tails. Shout out to the art team for going above and beyond in bringing the book to life! Here is a sneak peek at one of the page spreads.
And the cool art doesn't stop there! 52 Oracle cards have been lovingly illustrated. If you happen to cause a time paradox during your adventure through time, these cards can be used to bring fun, mayhem, and zany absurdity to your game! Here is a peek at some of what's in the deck!
Each card has been lovingly illustrated by a Snowbright artist and we brought in some wonderful guest artists as well. In a time when so many in the tabletop industry are jumping on the AI art bandwagon, we have been especially proud to support guest artists by hiring them for projects like Time Tails, Cozy Companion, and other books that we create.
I have to say some of these cards are really, really fun, and I can’t wait for the backers to get to see…and play with them. I mean, just imagine pulling the locomotive card and having a friendly train appear at the worst possible time. The possibilities for chaos are endless!!
…Wait, there's even MORE! The art team has also been busy turning a few amazing backers into Time Tails cats! You heard that right, Catify Yourself backers will be featured in the book! Our art team has been taking sets of reference images to turn these amazing folx into period-specific cats! Here are a few early stage work in progress sketches from this process. 
OK… there's a lot more art, but that feels like a lot so I’ll save some for future updates. The exciting thing is that this book is going to really be one-of-a-kind! I mean, you probably already knew that given the lack of time-traveling cat RPGs out there today… but we’re just so happy about how special this project is.
Manufacturing and Survey update
Due to the extra time we’ve been spending on art and getting things right, we are still running behind schedule. Art files are getting really close to being ready to send to the manufacturer for the first proofs. We plan to have those files over to the factory later this month. We will pop back in with an update in January to let you all know that we’ve crossed that major milestone. After we get the art components signed off on at the factory, we will be able to update our timeline. We know that we are heading straight into Lunar New Year season which always triggers some delays over at the factory, but we are hoping that production will be finished and ready for its voyage across the sea on an ocean freighter by the spring. Again, we should have a much firmer timeline in January after the art proofs are approved. We thank you again for your patience, and hope that you will find the added depth of content and art worth the wait. We know the cats are very, very anxious to make it your way. They hate being stuck on the drawing board!

October Production Update

Hello everyone, popping in with a spooky season production update for you! Hold on just a second… “Ari, we need to save that candy for Halloween! ...NO, I can see you eating it so don't blame it on the Norbs!” Ok… I’m back, grab your candy bucket and let's dive right in!
We have been busy working on getting the core rulebook ready to print. We’re really excited for the “graphic novel” approach being used for some pages. It’s a lot of work for our artists, but the end result is really special. It's been great watching the art team take the pages from concepts to sketches to final art. Here's a sneak peak at the evolution of one of the core rulebook’s pages…an introduction to paradoxes!
And speaking of paradoxes, work is also wrapping up on the Oracle Deck. They follow a similar pattern from concept to sketches then flat colors as we move toward final art. Here's a peak at the Gelatin card in its initial sketch and “flat” color stages! I'm honestly kinda excited to see how the Gelatin card puts a twist on peoples games…also who doesn't NEED a jiggly green gelatinous cat?
We have also been busy wrapping up work on all the timelines for cool places you could go in the game! Which has meant that the office is overflowing with cool facts from history, like did you know that the first cross-continental phone call was made in 1915? It was incredibly inefficient and took nearly 20 minutes to get all the lines connected for the call to happen!
OK, I have to go. It looks like Zoe needs help…Ari found the full sized chocolate bars, some graham crackers, a tin of tuna, and is mumbling something about tuna smores. Happy spooky season everyone!

Time Tails RPG End of Summer Update

Hello everyone! We hope that this update finds you well, and that your cabinets have been safe from any snack-stealing Norbs. We wanted to pop in with an update on the different parts of the game. So let's not waste any time (Zoe hates wasting time) and jump right in!
Core Rulebook
The bulk of the rules have been completed and are undergoing layout. We are taking some extra time with the book’s first chapter or two to make it ultra rad. You can see a mockup of one of the spreads below and some of the in-progress line drawings of other interior pages.
Oracle Deck
It’s been a big undertaking to tackle all of the cards for the Oracle Deck, and we’re excited with how they are coming along. Check out one of the ink drawings for the “Recursion” Oracle card which will trigger a recursion paradox if pulled, and a colored version of the “Slothify” Oracle card which is a paradox that will make… something… go… much… slower…
Deluxe Extras
Stickers, pins, blockbuster cards, cereal box, and time bands have gone through a second proofing check and are being prepped for the manufacturer! The dice sets are already in production and we are expecting them to arrive at the studio a bit early in September! We also have upgraded the dice container to a new Snowbright-branded dice holder that we are excited to show you some photos of once they arrive next month.
Specs for the two plushies have been sent over to our manufacturers and we are waiting on the first prototypes to be made. So keep any eye out for future updates featuring the plushies!
Now We’re Cookin’ with Salmon
Oh, and did I mention the recipes? Aunt Josie has been cooking up some very tasty treats to be included in the book, so many in fact that we have asked her to trim them down to just her faves (she provided us with enough to start a cookbook!). We did learn that we ABSOLUTELY needed a fish shaped jello mold…so Quill went out and got one last week. Can’t wait to see what recipe it's for!
So what does this all mean for fulfillment? We are still targeting a February 2025 date for the beginning of fulfillment. We will keep you updated as we go along and should have some pretty firm projections by the time that the holidays roll in.

July Update: Oracle cards, a new app and more!

Hello everyone! Popping in for a quick update before it's back to fixing paradoxes.
Work continues on Time Tails, and I've managed to pull early art from some of the new Oracle cards right out of Ari’s paws... Check out a peek of the Oracle Card for The Steed below. The horse gives strong “I do things my own way” vibes, and I am 100% here for it. This goes very nicely with the fact that this paradox card means that a steed will appear for you… whether you want one or not. I can’t wait to see how this pops up in people's games!
In other exciting news, the Snowbright App is live! This was a project that we were quiet about, so you may not have known it was in the works. Players can use the app to set up their characters and use the digital character sheet to save their characters while they play. There is even a handy digital dice roller to use, as well as a quiz to help with adventure generation! And… if you play other Snowbright games, be sure to check out the Teatime Adventures, ink, and Harvest Hoppers content on the app! You can find it on the Google Play Store and Apple Store under Snowbright App!
Cozy Companion news: The latest volume, Constellations, features a futuristic Time Tails lore section with new adventure seeds, paradoxes, foes (the Xenocuke and Buzzpaw), items, and attacks as well as a Time Travel Guide for taking your intrepid felines to the Italian Renaissance! Did you know that most cats are terrified of cucumbers? Expect the Xenocuke to make an appearance in the core rulebook as well!

Time Tails testing at conventions!

Zipping through time and space for a quick update! Checks for any nearby Norbs…OK I think it's safe, no snacks will be stolen while I’m here with you.
Work on Time Tails continues and I’m happy to say that we have been testing it out at some of our recent conventions. What we are seeing is people having a ton of fun, creating some hilarious paradoxes, and leaving their playtesting session after an hour laughing. Time Tails is proving to be just as much zany time traveling fun as we had hoped it would be.
What else is happening? New time periods to visit continue to be added in Time Travel Guides in each new volume of Cozy Companion! In our most recent volume, New Beginnings, we help players explore the agricultural revolution! What eras or locations would you like to see us cover in future Time Travel Guides? Feel free to drop them in the comments!
Okay…wait…I think there's a Norb inbound… gotta go!
